Our self-catered lodge was completely restructured in the summer of 2007 and at 1,260 metres above sea level offers you all the comforts you could long for during your vacation. Amidst the Angertal skiing centre in the Salzburger Land, you will regain strength and energy in your winter vacation. In summer, you can set out to numerous hikes such as to the Schattbachalm straight from the lodge in the morning, and experience the Gasteinertal’s beauty on a sunrise hike. Discover the fascination of cross-country skiing on the trail that runs past right outside your door. The centre of Bad Hofgastein with the Alpentherme thermal spa and shopping possibilities is reachable within 5 minutes by car.

Enjoy comforts of the highest level, 1,260 metres above sea level! Thanks to 4 bedrooms with heating and two bathrooms with toilets and three showers, our solid wood Haidegghütte offers the ideal place for your individual vacation with friends or family. Across 140m2 up to 15 people will find ample space. In the two parlours of the lodge, you can share your vacation experiences after a leisurely hiking day and end the day with a good glass of wine. The kitchen offers everything from wood furnace or electric cooker with baking stove, warm water, dishwasher, refrigerator and a grilling oven, all the way to sufficient table-ware to pamper your loved ones with traditional meals. Only bedlinen or sleeping bags, as well as towels must be brought along.

Winter in Gastein
From the lodge, straight to the pistes – in the cold season this dream becomes true! Immerse into the skiing pleasure and experience the variety of Gastein’s pistes in the Schlossalm Angertal Stubnerkogel skiing area. More relaxed activities, but with the same fun factor, are tobogganing, as well as snow shoe hiking and a ski tour along the marked Kalkbretterkopf trail.

Summer in Gastein
In summer, you can enjoy the fresh, clean air on Gastein’s alpine pastures and leave the strains of everyday life behind. A varied hiking experience awaits you at the Lauer while the Stubneralm can best be discovered during a beautiful night hike.

Your hosts, the Gstrein family wish you unforgettable holidays at the Haidegghütte in Bad Hofgastein! In the winter pick-up service, parking in the summer directly in front of the house, stream near the house (ideal for children), animals in summer on the pasture.
